Telecommunications Office Confirms Significant Market Power of 3 Operators
Joint-stock companies Orange Slovensko, EuroTel Bratislava and the Slovak Telecom (ST) have significant power on the telecommunication market. Milan Luknar, the chairman of Telecommunications Office of the Slovak Republic (TU) turned down appeals of the three companies and confirmed thus TU's decision from September 2002.
If nothing else is presented to the contrary, it is understood that an operator of a telecommunication activity has a significant power on the telecommunication market, if its share in the relevant market is at least 25 %. The Office will decide if the operator of a telecommunication activity has a significant influence in the telecommunication market.
