Schválený digitálny plán (DVB-T a T-DAB)

Na Regionálnej rádiokomunikačnej konferencii RRC 06, ktorá sa konala 15. mája až 16. júna 2006 v Ženeve boli Slovenskej republike definitívne pridelené frekvencie pre digitálne terestriálne vysielanie. Telekomunikačný úrad SR v rámci prípravy Slovenska na RRC 06 navrhol a do ITU zaslal plány frekvenčných vyhradení. Plán obsahoval 1 celoplošné pokrytie v pásme VHF a 7 celoplošných pokrytí v pásme UHF pre DVB-T a 3 celoplošné pokrytia pre T-DAB v pásme VHF. Zjednodušené znenie požiadaviek pre DVB-T, ktoré boli na RRC 06 schválené, nájdete v grafickej podobe na webe TÚ SR. Medzinárodná dohoda (GE 06) ktorej neoddeliteľnou súčasťou je digitálny plán pre región 1 a časť regiónu 3 nadobudne účinnosť 17.6. 2007. Prechodné obdobie, ktoré na Slovensku skončí v roku 2012 úplným vypnutím analógového vysielania začalo 17.6. 2006. TÚ SR po vytvorení legislatívnych podmienok postupne vyhlási výberové konania na prevádzkovateľov riadneho digitálneho terestriálneho televízneho vysielania (DVB-T), ktorí budú prevádzkovať vysielače, t.j. zabezpečia vysielanie po technickej stránke.
